Hi, I’m Elaine.
If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be designing wooden puzzles today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. My story took an unexpected turn after I graduated from Cambridge. I decided to move back to Hong Kong to care for my aging parents. During those quiet, slow-paced days at home, I found myself looking for a way to ground my mind—and I found solace in wooden puzzles.
I realized that, much like life, a puzzle is about fitting different, seemingly mismatched pieces together until they form a beautiful, complete picture.
That was the spark that created Unipuzzles.
I wanted to blend my meticulous academic background with the warm, nostalgic things that bring me joy. When I design, I draw inspiration from the everyday street scenes around me and the enchanted woodland creatures of my imagination.
But I didn't want to make ordinary grids. I wanted to build surprise into every box. That’s why I hand-design every single jigsaw with bespoke, whimsical pieces—so while you are puzzling, you might suddenly discover a tiny rabbit, a swimming fish, or a hidden heart under your fingertips.
For me, Unipuzzles is a love letter to slowing down and connecting with the people who matter most. From the historic halls of Cambridge to the cozy corners of your home, I invite you to open a box, feel the smooth wood, and discover the wonder hidden in the ordinary.
